NOTE The red LED illuminates as soon as a
signal has been sent out. Check the batteries
if the LED does not illuminate.
1. Remove the plastic insulation from the battery hold-
er before initial use.

1. If the minibar is to be switched off, unplug the con-

Using the automatic door control
(optional)
The automatic door control (optional) indicates via an
LED (Fig.  8) that the door has been opened.
If the LED is lit:
1. Open the minibar.
2. If necessary, refill the minibar.
3. Reset the automatic door control with the remote
control (optional).

10 Cleaning and
maintenance
WARNING! Electrocution hazard
Always disconnect the device from the pow-
er supply before cleaning and servicing it.
NOTICE! Damage hazard
• Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or
hard objects during cleaning as these
can damage the minibar.
• Never clean the minibar under running
water or in dish water.
• Never use hard or sharp tools to re-
move ice or to free frozen objects on
the minibar.
• Do not use any mechanical tools or any
other tools to speed up the defrosting
process.
• Ensure that no water drips into the seals
to avoid damage to the electronics.
Clean the minibar regularly and as soon as it be-
comes dirty with a damp cloth.
Wipe the minibar dry with a cloth after cleaning.
Check the condensate drain regularly.
Clean the condensate drain when necessary. If it
is blocked, the condensate collects on the bot-
tom of the minibar.
Ensure that the air inlet and outlet vents on the
minibar are free of any dust and dirt, so that heat
can be released and the device is not damaged.
Defrosting the minibar
The minibar is equipped with an automatic defrost
function.
Replacing LED of the interior light

The light source can only be replaced by the
manufacturer, a service agent or similarly
qualified person to avoid hazard.
