Connection of photocells
End of travel connection
Actuator connection with security device (VULCAN VUS)
We recommend installing interior and exterior
photocells. If only one is installed, install the
exterior one. If photocells are not installed,
make an electrical bridge in the corresponding
connector of the control panel.
Shown below is an example of the connections of a
KLPMUTO photocell as an exterior safety device.
1 Connect the NC contacts of the photocell (1) in the
corresponding connector of the control panel.
Correctly programme the microswitches DIP1 and
DIP2 (see the photocell instructions).
2 The 24Vac connector can be used to feed the
photocell.
TOP9 ONLY: The bridge (2) is necessary if an interior
photocell is not installed.
It is possible to connect ends of travel in the opening
and closing stoppers of the gate, meaning the
operator will stop when they are activated.
O
If ends of travel are not installed, make an electrical
bridge.
1 Connect the NC contacts of the opening end of travel
(FCA) in the corresponding connector.
2 Connect the NC contacts of the closing end of travel
(FCC) in the corresponding connector.
The VULCAN VUS operator is fitted with a patented
safety device which detects collisions during closing,
causing an immediate stop and inversion of the
movement. This safety device causes a stop in the
event of collision during opening.
1 Connect terminals 5 and 6 of the VUS actuator
instead of FCA and place DIP12 in ON.
2 Connect the NC contacts of the close end of travel
(FCC) in the corresponding connector (make a bridge
if the end of travel does not connect).
For more information on VULCAN VUS, see the
respective installation instructions manual.
