LI 3500
Fruits and vegetables should be pushed into the
feeder using the Pusher only.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Note: The safety interlock is a mechanism that
allows the appliance to operate only when the
protective cover is clamped securely in place.
1. Before plugging the appliance into a power
source, make sure the switch is turned to "Off" and the securing clamps are safely locked.
2. Before inserting fruits and vegetables into the juicer:
• Wash them thoroughly.
• Cut them into small pieces so they fit into the feeding funnel.
a. The appliance cannot process bananas, peaches, apricots, mangos, papayas, etc. because juice cannot
be extracted from these fruits.
b. The juice extractor cannot process coconut or other such solid items; they may damage the motor
and filter.
c. Peels must be removed from all citrus fruits. Remove seeds from cherries, prunes, etc. before feeding
them into the funnel.
3. Make sure that the indicated volt matches that of the local electrical service, and plug the cord into the
power outlet.
4. Switch the power to "On".
5. Insert the prepared fruits into the feeding funnel and gently press down on the pusher.
6. When the residue cups are full, switch the power "Off" and empty the containers before continuing to
process.
7. Switch appliance "Off" and unplug it from the socket after use.
Notice: Do not run the juicer continuously for longer than 3 minutes. Turn the appliance off and let the
motor cool down for at least 2 minutes. Otherwise the motor may be damaged.
RECOMMENDATIONS
1. Best results are obtained when using fresh vegetables and fruits. The softer the vegetable and riper the
fruit, the thicker will be.
2. Wash and dry fruits and vegetables thoroughly.
3. Cut fruits and carrots into strips.
4. Roll leafy vegetables into clumps.
JUICE EXTRACTING GUIDE
Ÿ When extracting a mix, insert the softer ingredients first, then the harder ones.
Ÿ Vitamins are lost quickly after extraction, therefore it is recommended to consume the juice as soon as
possible.
Ÿ Apple juice turns brown quickly. A few drops of lemon juice will keep it from turning brown as fast.
Ÿ Pulp can be used as a base for soup, sauce, jam and dessert.
