INSTRUCTION MANUAL
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The transmission fluid oil exchanger is used to remove, clean
and replace oil in the automatic transmission systems.
Includes a set of adaptors to fit most of the brands.
GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Keep this manual in a safe, dry place for future reference.
WARNING! When operating the tool, basic safety precautions
should always be followed to reduce the risk of personal injury
and equipment damage.
Read all the instructions before operating the tool.
Keep the work area clean.
Observe the conditions in the work area. Do not use
machines or power tools in wet or damp locations. Do
not expose the tool to rain.
Keep the work area well lit.
Do not use electrical machines in the presence of flam-
mable gases or liquids.
Keep children away. Children should never be allowed
to enter the work area. Do not allow them to handle
machines, tools or extension cords.
It is recommended to wear electrically non-conductive
protective clothing and non-slip footwear when working.
Watch what you are doing, use common sense. Do not
operate any tools when you are tired.
When servicing, use only identical replacement parts.
Do not operate the tool while under the influence of
alcohol or drugs.
For your safety, service and maintenance should be
carried out regularly by a qualified technician.
Persons with pacemakers should consult their physi-
cian(s) before using this product. Electromagnetic fields
near a cardiac pacemaker could cause interference or
failure of the pacemaker
PRODUCT SPECIFIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
WARNING! This equipment is designed to be operated by
qualified and trained personnel. It should only be used after the
safety warnings and operating procedures in this instruction
manual have been read and understood.
Wear safety goggles.
Do not smoke near this equipment.
Use the tool in a well-ventilated area.
When leaks are found in the equipment or hoses, imme-
diately turn off the power switch and repair the leaks.
Immediately clean up any spilled or leaking fluids.
Keep an empty plastic bucket nearby in case of leaks.
Keep an ABC type fire extinguisher nearby in case of
fire.
Always protect your skin and eyes against contact with
oil and solvents.
OPERATION
WARNING! The vehicle's engine should never be started in a
closed garage or any other closed structure. Carbon monoxide
is produced during operation and is deadly in a closed environ-
ment. The first signs of carbon monoxide poisoning are flu-like,
with headaches, dizziness or nausea. If you have any of these
signs, seek fresh air immediately.
Preparation
1.
Set the vehicle's emergency brake and turn off the
engine.
2.
Locate the gearbox and its radiator transmission oil inlet
and outlet. (Refer to the manufacturer's service manual).
3.
Place the machine next to the vehicle.
4.
Connect the clamps to the vehicle's battery.
5.
Have the new transmission fluid or cleaning agent near
the machine.
With this machine you can perform two operations:
-Gearbox oil cleaning
-Gearbox oil replacement
Gearbox oil cleaning
This process must be done when you wish to clean the gear-
box and its radiator.
Initially, the gearbox and its radiator are connected using two
tubes.
Disconnect the return line of the gearbox and its radiator.
Connect the black hose (return line) to the oil return connection
of the gearbox. If necessary, use the adaptors provided.
Connect the other end of the black hose to the machine, to the
return connector.
Connect the red hose (feed line) from the machine to the oil
inlet of the radiator (you may need the adapters provided).
The cleaning can be made in two ways:
-With cleaning agent
-With new oil
Cleaning with a cleaning agent
Open the front door of the machine and take out the tube which
is inside the new oil tank (bottle on the right).
