Anti-flooding
The machine is equipped with an anti-flooding system, which can detect leaks in the machine and will immediately stop water
delivery. The system cannot detect and block flooding from leaks outside the machine. The manufacturer cannot be held liable
for any flood damage caused by leaking components outside the machine.

4.1 App (BRITA Professional Filter Service)
The App is a tool that can be downloaded free of charge from App stores (Android, iOS) and from
https://www.brita.net. The App is required for the filter recommendation and gives advice for the
installation and maintenance process.
4.2 Installation and Putting The System Into Operation
Make sure to have sufficient space available for PROGUARD Gastronomy 200 and the pre-filter at
the intended place of operation
Backflow preventer:
Water connection:
EN
Installation of pre-filter:
Flush of the pre-filter cartridge:
Connect pre-filter with RO system
Waste water connection:
4
The built-in display shows all relevant parameters for intuitive system monitoring:
Left: Exhausted filter icon and next exchange of pre-filter
Right: Inlet and pump pressure, flow rate and conductivity of the filtrate.
Make sure to install a backflow preventer in accordance with the country-specific guide-
lines on the installation of drinking water facilities. A backflow must be prevented accord-
ing to EN 1717 at least by backflow preventer Type EA. Install the backflow preventer at
any position between the mains water supply and the pre-filter head's male thread (inlet).
The connections at the backside of the system are marked to simply identify Water Inlet (IN),
Water Outlet (OUT) and Waste Water Connection (DRAIN):
Supply the machine with an adequate tubing. Always install a shut-off valve upstream of the
water supply circuit.
First screw the pressure reducer and secondly the shutoff valve on the inlet of the pre-filterhead.
Make sure the imprinted arrow on the pressure reducer points away from the shutoff valve and
goes with the water flow.
Use a hose to connect the tap water supply with the G 3/4" male thread of the shut-off valve
at IN of pre-filterhead.
Connect the DN8 G 3/4" – G 3/4" hose from the installation kit with the pre-filter outlet.
Place a bucket close to the pre-filter cartridge and hang the hose into the bucket. Open the
mains water supply valve, open the shutoff valve and flush the cartridge with 20 liters. Close
shut-off valve again.
Connect the G 3/4" hose from the pre-filter outlet with the inlet connection of the
PROGUARD system.
Use the 3 m waste water tube to connect the water drain with the corresponding connector
into the waste water outlet of PROGUARD Gastronomy:
Turn the connector on the drain water outlet of the RO system
Plug the waste water tube in the connector and hang the other end of the tube deeply
into the drain
Secure the position of the waste water tube with a cable tie at the water drain
If necessary, shorten the tube to the required length
Note: Use a tube cutter, not scissors!
