TWIN OUTLETS (ø 80)
Twin outlets can be placed in the most suitable direction according to the
room requirements.
The air inlet adaptor (D) must be correctly directed, it is necessary to
fasten it with the appropriate screws, so that the positioning flap does
not interfere with the shell (fig. 11).
When necessary, the flue gas flange (L) must be removed using a screw-
driver as a lever.
The table indicates the permitted linear lengths. According to the length of
the pipes used, it is necessary to insert a flange selecting one from those
contained in the boiler (see the following table).

To direct the outlets in the most suit-
able installation way
(right air input) there is an air/flue gas
splitter kit available.
reduced concentric bend kit
If it is necessary to install Junior 24-28 C.S.I. on systems already
existing (replacement types Ciao N/Mynute), there is a "reduced
concentric bendkit " available that allows positioning the boiler
by keeping the same flue gas hole.

3.6 Filling the heating system (fig. 14)
Once the hydraulic connections have been carried out, fill the heating
system.
This operation must be carried out with cold system following this instruc-
tions:
- turn by two or three turns the automatic relief valve cap (A)
- make sure the cold water inlet tap is open
- open the filling tap (B) until the pressure indicated by the water pressure
gauge is within 1 and 1.5 bar.
Once filling is complete, close the filling tap.
The boiler has an efficient air separator so no manual intervention is
needed.
The burner switches on only if the air relief phase is finished.
3.7 Emptying the heating system
To empty the system, proceed as follow:
- switch off the boiler
- loose the boiler outlet tap (C)
- empty the lowest points of the system.
3.8 Emptying the domestic hot water
When there is risk of frost, the domestic hot water system must be emptied
in the following way:
- close the main tap of the water mains
- open all the hot and cold water taps
- empty the lowest points.
WARNING
When carrying out the discharge of the safety valve (D), it must be connected
to a suitable collection system. The manufacturer is not responsible for pos-
sible damages due to safety valve operation.

POSSIBLE OUTLET CONFIGURATIONS (fig. 13)
C12
Concentric wall outlet. Pipes can leave the boiler independently,
but the outputs must be concentric or near enough in order to
be subjected to similar wind conditions (within 50 cm).
C22
Concentric outlet in regular smoke pipe (suction and outlet in
the same pipe).
C32
Concentric roof outlet. Output as C12.
C42
Outlet and suction line in regular separate smoke pipes, but
subjected to similar wind conditions.
C52
Separate wall or roof outlet and suction line and in areas with
90°
different pressures. Outlet and suction line must never be
placed on opposite walls.
0.8
C62
Outlet and suction line carried out with pipes marketed and
certified separately (1856/1).
C82
Outlet in single or regular smoke pipe and wall suction line.

4 IGNITION AND OPERATION
4.1 Preliminary checks
First ignition is carried out by competent personnel from an authorised
Technical Assistance Service Beretta.
Before starting up the boiler, check:
a)
that the supply networks data (electric, water, gas) corresponds to the
label data
b)
that piping leaving the boiler is covered by thermal insulation sheath
c)
that flue gas extraction and air suction pipes work correctly
d)
that conditions for regular maintenance are guaranteed if the boiler is
placed inside or between furniture
e)
the seal of the fuel adduction system
f)
that fuel capacity corresponds to values requested by the boiler
g)
that the fuel supply system has the correct capacity for the necessary
capacity to the boiler and that it has all the safety and control devices
prescribed by current regulations.
4.2 Appliance ignition (fig. 1a - 2a - 2b - 3a - 4a - 5a)
To start-up the boiler it is necessary to carry out the following operations:
- power the boiler
- open the gas tap present in the system to allow fuel flow
- turn the mode selector (2 - fig. 1a) to the desired position:
90°
summer mode: turning the selector to the symbol summer "
the traditional function of only domestic hot water is activated.
1.5
winter mode: turning the mode selector to the area divided in segments
(fig. 2b) the boiler provides hot water and heating.
- Adjust ambient thermostat to desired temperature (~20°C)
Adjustment of the heating water temperature
To adjust the heating water temperature, turn the knob with symbol "
(fig. 3a) to the area divided in segments.
Adjustment of domestic hot water temperature
To adjust domestic hot water temperature (bathrooms, showers, kitchen,
etc.), turn the knob with symbol "
within 1 (min value 37 °C) and 9 (max. value 60 °C).
On the control panel, the green led (1 - fig. 1a) flashes with frequency 0.5
second on, 3.5 seconds off.
The boiler is standby status until, after a heat request, the burner switches
on and the indicator turns fixed green to indicate flame presence.
The boiler will be in function until the adjusted temperature is reached,
afterwards it will be in "stand-by" again.
If faults arise in ignition or operations, the boiler performs a "SAFETY STOP":
on the control panel, the green indicator will switch off and the boiler lockout
red indicator will switch on (see chapter light signals and faults).
4.3 Switching off
Temporary switching off
In case of absence for short periods of time, set the mode selector (2 - fig.
1a) to "
(OFF ).
Anti-frost device remains active.
Long period switching off
In case of absence for long periods of time, set the mode selector (2 - fig.
1a) to "
(OFF ).
Then, close the gas tap present on the system. In this case, anti-frost device is
deactivated: empty the systems, in case of risk of frost.
