Installation
6.
Refer to the illustrations on page 2 of this manual.
•
Choose a location for the camera, keeping following guidelines in mind
•
Do not install the camera in locations where extremely high or low temperatures or
excessive vibrations may occur.
•
Avoid mounting the camera near high electro-magnetic fields.
•
Do not aim the camera at the sun or other extremely bright objects.
•
Do not install behind a glass (or other) window as this will impact image quality.
•
Mount the mounting bracket [7] on a wall or ceiling with the 3 included screws.
•
Screw the camera on the bracket with the camera connection screw [5]. Note that the camera
has two mounting holes on either side, for wall or ceiling mounting.
•
Point the camera towards the field of interest and secure it by turning the butterfly nut [6].
•
The other side of the RG58U cable must be connected to connector [F] of the coaxial power
supply.
•
Connect a monitor (not incl.) to connector [G] (cable not incl.).
•
Plug the mains connector [C] in the mains (230V/50Hz).
•
Switch on the coaxial power supply with switch [A]. The status LED [B] turns green.
•
Adjust the brightness of the camera image by setting the dip-switches [E] on the back of the
power supply. The two upper-switches increase the brightness (brighter), while the two lower
switches decrease the brightness (darker).
•
In case of a blown fuse [D] in the power supply, replace it with a 250V/2A fuse.
Adjusting zoom and focus
7.
Refer to the illustrations on page 3 of this manual.
•
Locate the hex head screw at the bottom of the camera (see arrow).
•
Release this screw with the included Allen wrench and slide the housing towards the front of
the camera. The focus [a] and zoom [b] magnet become visible.
•
First adjust the zoom magnet [b]. Slide it upwards to zoom in (longer distance, smaller
viewing angle); slide it downwards to zoom out (shorter distance, wider viewing angle)
•
Then adjust the focus magnet [a]. Slide it upwards or downwards to adjust focus hence
making the images sharper.
•
Slide the housing back in place and secure it with the hex head screw. Do not apply excessive
force on the screw.
