Residual current circuit breaker
n National regulations must be observed
(e.g. IEC 60364‑7‑722 (in Germany DIN
VDE 0100‑722)).
n A differential current sensor for DC resid-
ual current monitoring > 6 mA with trip-
ping characteristics in accordance with
IEC 62752 is integrated in the product for
each charging point.
n Each charging point that is subject to the
provisions of IEC 60364-7-722:2018 must
be protected by a dedicated type B re-
sidual current device.
n Within the scope of HD 60364-7-722:
2016, each charging point must be indi-
vidually protected with at least one type
A residual current device.
n No other circuits may be connected to
the residual current circuit breakers.
Supply line fuse (e.g. miniature circuit breaker,
NH fuse)
n National regulations must be observed
(e.g. IEC 60364‑7‑722 (in Germany DIN
VDE 0100‑722)).
n The fuse for the supply line must be de-
signed for the product, taking account,
among other considerations, of the rating
plate, the required charging power and
the supply line (line length, cable cross-
section, number of outer conductors, se-
lectivity).
n The rated current of the fuse for the sup-
ply line must not exceed 100 A.
