MANUAL OF INSTRUCTIONS
PRODUCT'S PRESENTATION
This tool has been designed to test if there are leaks in the cooling system.
It uses the universal cone adapter system to seal and pressurize the cooling system,
so it is not necessary to use cap fittings.
Four universal cone adapters fit a wide range of vehicles.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Maintain the tool in good and clean condition for best performance.
If required, ensure the vehicle to be worked on is adequately supported with axle
stands.
Before performing a test with the engine running (unless the manufacturer's manual
states otherwise), set the parking brake and place the gear selector in neutral or
park, and block the drive wheels.
Wear approved safety goggles.
Keep yourself, clothing and test equipment away from all moving or hot engine parts.
Keep children and unauthorized persons away from working area.
Do not use components from this kit if damaged.
Do not use the components from this kit on diesel fuel systems.
Do not use the equipment when you are tired or under the influence of alcohol, drugs
or intoxicating medicines.
Account for all tools being used and do not leave them in or near the engine.
WARNING! Do not over pressurize the system, as excessive pressure
may cause failure of the radiator or hoses.
OPERATION
1.
Carefully remove radiator cap.
2.
WARNING! Use protection gloves if the radiator cap is known to be hot.
3.
Select the correct adapter and ensure it is securely fitted to the filler neck of the
radiator or expansion tank.
4.
Attach the quick-coupling connector onto the cone adapter.
5.
Depress the hand pump handle and check the reading indicated on the pressu-
re gauge.
6.
Ideal reading should range between 0.80-1 BAR (12-15PSI)
7.
WARNING! Always check manufacturer's manual to know which should be the
correct pressure.
8.
If the pressure level is below this range or the pressure drops
is likely that there is a leak.
9.
Once the test is complete, release the air pressure by depressing the quick re-
lease valve.
10.
Disconnect the hose from the cone adaptor and take out the adapter from the
radiator.
11.
Finally, screw the radiator cap securely.
