12.2. REFRIGERATING SYSTEM MAINTENANCE
The refrigerating system requires minimal maintenance. If due to accidents or breakages oil or refrigerant needs to be
added, it will be necessary to get in contact with Azbil Telstar Technologies Customer Service.
To assure a proper refrigeration of the system, all the grids must be at a minimum distance of 20cm away from any
other equipment and from the wall.
It is recommended to perform a periodic cleaning of the dust accumulated in the condenser batteries of the
refrigerating system. To proceed, the lateral doors of the freeze dryer must be opened to clean the battery by means
of a small paintbrush, and if it is possible by means of compressed air. This should be done particularly before summer.
When the switch is off, the compressor continues working for the time set by the collecting timer (2 min.) in order to
inhale the gas of the evaporator. If the time has passed and the compressor has not stopped, the equipment will have
to be checked, for it's not advisable that the compressor works without gas circulation.

12.3. SURFACE CLEANING AND DISINFECTION
For both, unit and accessories, use sterile or non-use disables cloths, which do not shed particles or fibres.
To disinfect use cloths dampened with a disinfecting solution which do not damage or affect the paintwork, stainless
steel or chamber glass. A previous clean to disinfecting can also be done with water.
To access to corners or difficult access zones, another type of tools will have to be used.
12.4. MAINTENANCE TABLE
The following table contains the advised values for a normal service of the freeze dryer. A number of very severe
conditions of work can reduce the intervals expressed in the table, especially in the oil change operation of the vacuum
pump.
