6. Preventing the plasma display from falling over
The Plasma display could fall over during an earthquake, etc.
We recommend that measures are taken to prevent the Plasma display from falling over in such an event.
* The information in this section is designed to reduce the risk of injuries caused by the Plasma display falling over
during an earthquake, etc.
However, no measure can guarantee protection against all earthquakes.
* The precautions in this section are recommendations for providing more secure installation of your plasma display
if you live in an earthquake prone area.
Fall prevention treatment
In order to prevent the plasma display from falling,
connect strong cords or wires available on the
market to sturdy pillars or walls by passing them
through the main body grip so that they are not
loosened.
The distance between the pillar or wall and the rear of the
plasma display main body must be 1 m or less.
Removing the plasma display
1. To remove the fixing screws
Remove the fixing screws (M5x35) from the
holders (on the left and right).
2. To remove the plasma display main body
While lifting the bottom of the plasma
display main body,
Pull it towards you and remove the lower
insulating spacer.
Then, lift it.
