5. Use
Check the retraction of the cross-cut track
before every use (see 4.4). Do not use the
cross-cut track if the automatic retraction does not
function properly.
5.1 Connect the cross-cut track to the
machine
See page 2, Fig. A and B.
- Use the grooves (2) to attach the circular saw to
the profiles for the sliding guide (1) on the guide
rail and push on in the sawing direction. The
grooves (2) in the circular saw guide plate slide
into the profiles (1) of the guide rail.
- The stop lever (4) swings to the side when sliding
the machine. Push the machine until the stop lever
snaps back and locks in place behind the saw
table.
- The machine is now affixed to the track.
- The saw should glide easily over the track.
5.2 Releasing the machine from the cross-
cut track
- Release the saw from the stop and move in the
direction of work
- Swing the stop lever (4) away and remove the saw
from the guide profile.
5.3 Splinter guard
When new, the outside edge of the splinter guard
(10) protrudes slightly beyond the cutting track of
the circular saw blade. This protruding section is cut
off in the first cut. To avoid tearing, the splinter
guard (10) should lie completely on a support when
sawing. The edge of the splinter guard is then the
same as the cutting edge of the workpiece.
5.4 Working with the cross-cut track
See page 2, Fig. C.
- Tighten the screw for the angular stop (11)
- With the cross-cut track attached to the circular
saw, use the stops (14) and (12), which are
located on the bottom of the cross-cut track, to
place it on the workpiece edge.
- Start saw.
- Push saw in the direction of sawing.
Risk of cutting! The protective hood
opens. Never place hands into running
saw blade.
- After completing the cut, switch off the saw and
guide the saw back along the cross-cut track to
the parking position.
- Now raise the cross-cut track from the workpiece.
- If the saw and track are lifted away from the
workpiece before they are returned to the parking
position, the track will be retracted back to the
parking position (3) through the stop on the
circular saw by the retracting spring (5).
Risk of crushing by the retraction of the
cross-cut track
- When raising the device from the workpiece, keep
hands away from the area behind the saw, as the

cross-cut track snaps back to the saw when
released from the workpiece.
5.5 Adjusting the angular stop
See page 2, Fig. C.
Release the screw (11) on the angular stop (12)
beneath the cross-cut track and the rear of the angle
display (6). Set the desired angle on the angle scale
(7) and tighten the screws.
Angle cuts can be freely set between -60° to 60°.
Index notches are provided for standard angles.
5.6 Sawing with a mitre
Mitre cuts are possible at all angles. Please consult
the operating instructions for the device in question
for information on how to set up the machine for
mitre cuts.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Splinter guard, non-slip and slide lining
Prior to attaching the slide lining, the adhesive
remains on the guide rail must be removed
completely (if required using solvent)!
When changing the circular saw or saw blade, it is
usually necessary to replace the splinter guard with
a new one. For easier insertion of the new splinter
guard, the front area can be pulled out from the
guide rail (about 2 - 3 cm) to permit a safe grip. If
insertion by hand is too difficult, pliers can also be
used to pull the splinter guard. Since the insertion
can cause lengthening of the splinter guard, we
recommend letting the guide track rest for a while
before cutting off the protruding ends of the splinter
guard.
Spare splinter guards (10) can be ordered under
order no. 6.29023000.
Replace non-slip lining (13) in case of damage or
strong wear. Replacements can be ordered under
order no. 6.29024000
Replace slide lining (8) in case of damage or strong
wear. Replacements can be ordered under order
no. 6.29025000
