Description
The controller indicates an existing connection to the
9
wireless network (Wi-Fi) by a sporadic flashing of the
"Data transmission" indicator near the main display.
Check the connection with the wireless network
(Wi-Fi) by calling up the ROHDE myKiln app with a
smartphone, tablet or computer. If not already done,
connect your controller to the app using the
10
controller's access code (see Section 8.2.2). If you
now start a firing with the controller, you should see
this in the app or be able to send firing programs from
the app to the controller.
8.1.5.
Establishing a connection manually with a wireless network router
The following description explains how to manually connect the kiln controller to a wireless network (Wi-Fi) using a
smartphone, tablet or computer. First, the controller and a smartphone, tablet or computer are connected for a limited
time using an access point. The controller searches for the wireless connection, and the paired smartphone, tablet or
computer is used to display and select the wireless connection.
Notes:
⇒ The procedure described below is used if using a wireless network router without a WPS button (WPS
function),
⇒ or if the connection is to be set up over a secure wireless network in a large building or school/educational
facility.
