2.­ To­insert­the­battery­(34),­push­the­bat-
tery (34) along the guide rail (9) into
the­device.­You­will­hear­it­click­into­
place.
Checking the charge
status of the battery
The­battery­charge­status­indicator­(20)­
shows the charge status of the battery (34).
The­charge­level­of­the­battery­is­indicated­
by­illumination­of­the­corresponding­LED­
lights while the device is in operation.
To­see­the­charge­level,­keep­the­on/off­
switch (5) depressed.
Red-amber-green => battery fully charged
Red-amber­=>­battery­approx.­half­char-
ged
Red => battery needs to be charged

Charging the battery

If warm, allow the battery to cool
before charging.
­ Charge­the­battery­(34)­when­only­
the­red­LED­on­the­level­indicator­is­
illuminated.
1. Remove the battery (34) from the de-
vice.
2. Slide the battery (34) into the charging
slot of the charger (36).
3. Plug the charger (36) into an outlet.
4. After charging is complete, a green
light will be illuminated permanently.
You­can­now­disconnect­the­charger­
(36) from the mains supply.
5. Remove the battery (34) from the char-
ger (36).
Checking the function of
the protective hood
1. Place the device with the saw table
(10) on the edge of a solid surface so
that the plunge saw can be lowered
completely.
2. Push the switch lock (3) forward and
lower the plunge saw.
3.­ Check­whether­the­saw­blade­(27)­is­
rubbing against the protective hood
(24).
Check­whether­it­moves­back­to­its­ori-
ginal position on its own.
If the function of the protective hood
is faulty, do not put the device into
operation and contact our Service
Centre.
Installing/changing the
saw blade
Switch off the device and remove
the battery before carrying out any
work.
1. Push the locking lever (2) towards the
auxiliary­handle­(1).
2. Push the switch lock (3) forward and
lower the plunge saw until it audibly
engages.
3. Release the switch lock (3).
The­motor­unit­stops­at­the­point­where­
you can mount/change the saw blade
through­the­cut-out­in­the­protective­
hood (24).

Removing the saw blade

4. Press the spindle lock (37) and loosen
and remove the screw (39) and the
flange­(38)­with­the­large­hex­key­(16)­
(from­the­auxiliary­handle­(1)).­
