Any change to the series condition of the seat (e.g. by retrofitting with retrofit and
replacement parts not originally supplied by GRAMMER AG) can invalidate the inspected
status of the seat. Functions of the seat could be impaired, thus endangering your
safety. For this reason, any constructional modifications to the seat must be approved
by GRAMMER AG.
The information provided by the respective vehicle manufacturer must be followed when
removing and installing the seat.
Do not lift the seat by the covers. Non-compliance may result in increased risk of
accidents caused by loosening or damaging of the covers.
Before removing the seat, disconnect all plug connections between the seat and the
on-board power supply. When restoring the plug connections, check that the unit is
dust-proof and waterproof.
Seat belts are present on the seat.
Seat belts must be installed before commencing operation of the vehicle.
After an accident, the seat belts must be replaced.
For seat belts installed on the seat, the driver seat and driver seat fastenings must be
additionally checked by qualified personnel.
Screwed connections must be checked regularly for tightness. If the seat wobbles,
the screwed connections may be loose or there may be some other defect.
If you discover any malfunction (e.g. defective suspension of the seat, incorrect curvature
of the lumbar support, etc.) or damage (e.g. damaged bellows, etc.), please contact a
workshop immediately to correct the fault.
Non-compliance could pose a hazard to your health and increase the risk of an
accident.
Before commencing operation of the vehicle, any switches in the seat area of the seat
(to shut off units when leaving the seat or vehicle) must be checked for functionality.
In the event of a malfunction, the vehicle must not be operated.
– INCREASED RISK OF ACCIDENTS –
Do not place objects on the seating area of seats that have integrated switches
(e.g. for seat occupancy sensing) except for normal use, since otherwise the vehicle may
be set in motion without a driver.
– INCREASED RISK OF ACCIDENTS –
Do not push the bellows inwards during operation, while the seat is occupied.
– RISK OF CRUSHING –
Make sure that no objects or liquids end up inside the seat.
The seat is not waterproof and must be protected against splash water.
Retrofitting of driver seats with integrated safety belt systems is only permitted after
consultation with the vehicle manufacturer, and may only be carried out by authorised
workshops.
