If a user is granted the privilege to open a lock defined to be a Target Lock in an Auto Open Sequence,
•
they are automatically granted the privilege to open lock 1 as part of the sequence. If they are not
specifically granted the privilege to open lock 1, then they cannot open lock 1 except as part of an auto
open sequence.
3.15.1.1 Auto Open Interactions with other features
Prior to configuring an Auto Open feature, it is critical to consider how this feature interacts with other system
features noted below:
Time Delay
If Lock 1 has been configured with Time Delay, this setting will be ignored when the lock is used as
•
part of an Auto Open Sequence.
If a Target Lock is configured to use Time Delay, the Time Delay feature is honored when an open
•
attempt is made on that lock. The Auto Open sequence will occur after the conditions of the Target
Lock's Time Delay settings have been satisfied.
The Opening of Lock 1 has no impact on Time Delay for any other lock, whether or not they are
•
included in an Auto Open Sequence.
If Lock 1 is configured with Time Delay and an Auto Open Sequence is started during an active Time
•
Delay Period for Lock 1, the Time Delay Period will be cancelled, and the Auto Open Sequence will
begin.
Time Lock Schedule
For an Auto Open Sequence, only the schedules for the Target Locks are considered. The schedule
•
for Lock 1 is ignored during an Auto Open Sequence. The schedule for Lock 1 is considered when Lock
1 is opened normally.
If the Target Lock is configured with both Time Delay and a Time Lock Schedule, the Time Lock
•
Schedule will be considered when the Time Delay confirmation window opens.
Remote Disabled/Lockout
Remote disable function via the external signal, if enabled and asserted, will only be checked at the
•
beginning time of an authentication for the entire Auto Open Sequence.
If access is currently disabled by this feature, no lock will be opened.
•
3.15.1.2 Auto Open Feedback
When a user attempts to open a target lock, the Auto Open Sequence is initiated, and the following behavior is
observed:
1.
Auto Open sequence begins after the user selects the Target Lock and executes a successful Open Lock
command:
