To remove the card

Push the EJECT button on the camera control unit.

Pull out the card slowly.
Note
Make sure not to insert or remove a card while the access
lamp on the camera control unit lights in red. If you do,
the data saved in the card may be lost and you may
damage the card and/or camera.

Initializing a Card

Uninitialized cards cannot be used with the camera.
Before use, cards must be initialized using the camera.
Caution
If you initialize a card that has data recorded on it, all
recorded data, including protected data, will be erased.

Switch the a/? (main power) switch on the rear of
the camera control unit to ON.
The ?/1 (on/standby) indicator on the top lights in
orange.

Press the ?/1 (on/standby) switch.
The ?/1 (on/standby) indicator lights in green and
the LCD monitor turns on. Confirm that the live
picture is displayed on the monitor.

Press the MENU button.
The MAIN MENU appears.

Move the cursor to SYSTEM SET UP with the V or
v button, then press the ENTER button.

The SYSTEM SET UP window appears.

Move the cursor to PC CARD INIT with the V or v
button, then press the ENTER button.
The message "INITIALIZE OK?" appears.

Press the ENTER button.
Initialization begins.
When initialization is complete, the LCD monitor
returns to the normal display.
To cancel initialization, press the EXIT button.
Note
Do not remove the card during initialization.
Initialization cannot proceed normally if you do.
Switching the NTSC/PAL Select
Switch
Set the NTSC/PAL select switch on the rear of the
camera control unit to either position according to the
color system in your area.
