Trouble Shooting Guide
No Power to Unit
No batteries or dead batteries
Improper battery installation (batteries must be installed with "+" toward bottom)
Battery screw cap is not installed
Metal contact on battery screw cap is missing
Poor contact between battery cap and tab
Disconnected/damaged wire from battery compression spring ("-" end) to circuit card.
Disconnected/damaged wire from battery cap contact spring ("+" end) to circuit card
Incorrect connection of keypad to circuit card
Inoperative membrane keypad.
Malfunctioning circuit board.
No infusion - LED's flashing
Pusher arm compression spring is missing
Lead screw is damaged or disconnected from motor or lead screw mounts
Pusher arm and/or half-nuts are damaged
Damaged or loose lead screw gear. Missing or not fully seated E-clip on lead-screw. Lead-screw is not
properly lubricated.
Damaged motor or motor gear-head
Motor is not properly attached to motor mount.
LED's not flashing and/or membrane keys not operative
Disconnected membrane keypad
Damaged LED's/membrane keypad
Malfunctioning circuit board
No Audio and Visual Alarms at end of infusion or occlusion
Occlusion slide potentiometer is not connected to syringe clamp slider. The slider is not seated properly (fully)
on the occlusion slide potentiometer
Damaged or loose gear or lead- screw. Missing or not fully seated E-clip on lead-screw. Lead-screw is not
properly lubricated.
Damaged pusher arm, half-nuts or lead-screw
Improper wire connection from occlusion slide potentiometer to circuit card
Circuit board malfunction.
No Audio Alarm - Visual Alarm operates
"Alarm" key was used to turn off audio alarm.
Damaged buzzer
Pusher arm is difficult to move on rails
Damaged guide rails or lead-screw
Damaged pusher arm.
Rails not properly lubricated

Disassembly and Replacement of Components

Opening the unit
1.
Remove the battery screw cap and batteries.
2.
Remove the stainless steel wire hangar from the top of the unit by expanding each side outward.
3.
Place the unit on a flat surface with the keypad facing downward.
CAUTION: The surface must be free of debris to prevent damage to the keypad.
4.
Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the two flat-head 6/32 x 1 3/4" machine screws that hold the pole clamp
mount to the case.
5.
Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the remaining two flat-head 6/32 x 1" machine screws that hold the
halves of the case together.
CAUTION: Keep the longer screws with the pole clamp mounting bracket. Installing screws that are
longer than one inch without the pole clamp mount will cause damage to the keypad.
C l o s i n g t h e u n i t
1.
Place the front (keypad) of the unit on a flat surface with the keypad facing downward.
CAUTION: The surface must be free of debris to prevent damage to the keypad.
