Cordless drills are suitable for drilling into metal,
wood, plastics and similar materials as well as in-
serting and tightening screws.
The charger TRC 3 is designed for charging the bat-
tery packs listed.
Your Festool cordless drill has the following prod-
uct features:
– CENTROTEC and FastFix rapid change system
– System battery interface and charger for NiCd/
NiMH and LiIon battery pack
T 12+3: All battery packs listed under "Technical
data" and battery packs compatible with Festool
cordless drills C 12 and TDK can be used (with
max. 12 V).
T 15+3: All battery packs listed under "Technical
data" and battery packs compatible with Festool
Changing the battery pack [2]
The capacity display [1-10] shows the charge sta-
tus of the battery pack. If the capacity display is
flashing the battery pack is empty. The capacity in-
dicator does not work with NiCd and NiMH battery
packs.
Removing the battery pack
Press and hold the two buttons [2-1].
Slide the battery pack forwards to remove.

for protecting the machine and the battery pack

Operation

Inserting the battery pack
Slide the battery pack onto the retainer on the
underside of the handle shown in Fig. [2] until it
engages.
All battery packs in the BPS and BPC series can
be used with the Festool cordless drills T12+3,
T15+3 , T18+3. Li-ion Battery packs can also be
used with a lower voltage than that of the cord-
less drill.
When using NiMH or NiCd battery packs, the va-
cant opening can be closed with the blanking
plug [2-2].
Charging the battery pack [3]
The battery pack is delivered partially charged.
Charge the battery pack completely before us-
ing for the first time.
To charge the battery pack, slide all the way
onto the retainer [3-1] on the charger.
To remove, slide off the charged battery pack in
similar fashion.
