Fill with fuel and lubricant
Safety
Warning - Fire hazard!
Petrol is highly flammable.
Sparks occur when the engine is started. This
may ignite flammable gases in the vicinity.
Combustible materials such as leaves, grass etc
can ignite.
Store petrol only in containers made for that purpose.
Refill with petrol only outdoors.
Do not smoke during refilling.
Do not remove fuel cap while engine is running or still
hot.
Replace damaged fuel tank or fuel cap.
Always ensure that fuel cap is closed tightly.
In case of petrol spillage:
Do not start engine.
Do not test the ignition.
Clean the equipment.
Let the engine cool off and prevent spillage when
refilling the tank.
Caution!
Fill with oil prior to operation.

Oil recommendations
The engine oil is a significant factor in the performance
and life of the engine. Use oil that conforms to the API
Service Classification SJ or greater.
Check that the API Service label on the oil container
specifies the letters SF or those of a higher class.
SAE 10W-30 is recommended for general use.
The recommended operating range for this engine is 0 °C
to 40 °C.
Checking oil level (Figure 1)
Check the engine oil level when engine has stopped and
is on level ground.
Remove foreign matter from oil filling neck.
1. Remove dip stick (A) and wipe clean.
2. Insert the dip stick into the oil filler neck, but do not
screw in, and then remove it.
3. If the oil level is near or below the lower limit mark on
the dip stick (B), fill with the recommended oil to the
upper limit mark.
4. Screw in dip stick.
Low oil level can cause engine damage.
Fuel recommendations
Use clean, fresh and unleaded regular-grade petrol
with an octane rating of at least 85.
Purchase fuel in such quantities that it can be used up
within 30 days.
(See storage section.)
Petrol with up to 10% ethanol content or up to 15%
MTBE content (antiknock agent) is acceptable.
Do not mix oil with petrol.
