Appendix: Files information
Thanks to MediaInfo software is possible to obtain all the needed information about a video or an audio file and know the
codec it uses.
MediaInfo is a free software which offers technical information about a file (audio or video), displays the used codecs, the
video features and also the audio features (bitrate, framerate, frequency...). This way, the program helps to know all the
file information and check the MKV type used for the file, to know if it is supported by our device SPM1200HD.

Through this guide we will show you how to use this software to check the MKV files which are supported by the unit.
MediaInfo
You can download the software Media Info from its official website. It is available in the most common OS:

Download and install the program. Then, you can open it through the Start menu or right clicking over the multimedia file.

In the following picture, the Media Info software displays this information:
1. File, codec, size, time, 1 video track, 2 audio tracks, 2 subtitle tracks.
3. Language and format of the first audio track, informtaion about the second audio track, information about the first sub-
title track and information about the second subtitle track.
In this case, the MKV file includes 2 audio tracks (DTS-AC3), two subtitle tracks (UTF-8 English/Spanish). This file is sup-
ported by the device (AC3 and DTS audio files can be played through Optical and/or Coaxial audio outputs).
Note: The DTS audio files (Digital Theater System/Sound/Surround) can be played and not decoded by the unit.
