9. First time usage
Please read carefully the following before using the device for first time:
- Install the remote control batteries (provided with the unit)
- Connect the device to your TV screen (read the section 8 of the user guide)
- Connect the power adaptor to the power outlet and also to the unit
- Press the power switch to select "On" option
Note: Please pay special attention to the choosing of output resolution. The device supports up to 1080p of resolution, but
your TV screen may not be compliant. If you choose a 1080p of output resolution in the device and your TV screen doesn´t
support it, the screen will not display any image. In that case, you should press the arrow buttons right and left to change
the output resolution; if the TV still doesn´t display pictures, connect the device through AV output and select the correct
output resolution (1080i if your screen is not Full HD).
On the top of the unit you can find buttons for basic operations to move the highlight, during the options and play multi-
media files easily:
- Pressing the buttons 5 6 you can move up or down the highlight in the device menus
- Pressing the buttons 34 you can access to the folders
- Pressing OK button you can confirm a selection, a file or a folder
- Pressing STOP button you can stop a playback
9.1 Hard disk formatting
The inner hard disk installed on your SPM1200HD is formatted by default. If you want to format it again, follow these steps:
- Press "Menu" button of the remote control or select this option in the Main screen. Then, select "Format" option, select
the inner hard disk and, then, select the file system (you can choose between FAT32 or NTFS).
- We strongly recommend format the hard disk in NTFS format to allow the playback of big-size files.
- If you want to format the hard disk, please note it must be in a supported file system: NTFS or FAT32.
- Please note that if you format the inner hard disk, all the files saved will be deleted.
