Permanent obligations
The following are permanent obligations for you as the operator:

You must implement national regulations for health and safety, accident prevention and environ-
mental protection.
g
You must implement all other national rules and regulations.
g
You must carry out a risk assessment.
g
You must prevent misuse.
g
Anyone who works with the product must use suitable protective equipment.
g
Anyone who works with the product must be qualified for his area of responsibility.
g
You must train workers regularly, at least twice a year, in order to keep safety and hazard knowledge
up to date.
g
You must assign clear responsibilities to employees (e.g. operation, maintenance, repair).
g
You must adhere to the service intervals.
g
You must have damage repaired promptly and professionally.
g
You must only use accessories approved by DENIOS and original replacement parts.
g
You must meet the construction law regulations.
g
You must observe the regulations for storing pressurised gases.
g
You must observe the regulations for handling hazardous substances.
g
You must take measures to exclude sources of ignition.
g
You must observe the safety datasheet for the stored medium.
g
You must protect pressurised gas cylinders from significant heating, fire, corrosion, mechanical dam-
age and unauthorised access.
g
You must have the roof regularly checked for external loads (e.g. leaves or snow).
g
You must ensure that illegible or missing instruction signs or nameplates are replaced immediately.
2.2.3
Special protective measures
For acutely toxic gases (H330) or flammable gases (H221– 220) the operator must create protected areas
around pressurised gas cylinders, which are dependent on gas density. These protected areas must be
given special consideration by the operator in the risk assessment, e.g. explosion protection measures
may be needed.
