8.3 CUTTING.
To perform a cut, put the material on the cart and
rest it against the frontal ruler (F, Fig.7). Horizontal (H,
Fig.7) and vertical rulers (V, Fig.7) slide until the material
to cut is hold down. Then the knobs are tightened (P, Fig.7)
to immobilize the material during cutting.
It is very important to make sure that the piece is
well supported. The operator must be positioned laterally on
the machine to operate the steering wheel and close to the
starter to operate it in case of danger. It is recommended to
remove the pull-out tray (B, Fig.7) before starting the cut.
This tray protects from splashes.
To cut, turn the wheel to move the cutting head
forward towards the material to cut.
Start slowly and move adapting to the depth of the material and its hardness. Moving the blade excessively
can produce a defect cut or block the blade.
The water pump starts simultaneously with the motor. Before you start cutting, make sure that the blade is
receiving the necessary quantity of water, otherwise the cutting blade could heat up, accelerating its degradation and
risk of breakage. This model is also prepared to receive water directly from the water tap.
9. MAINTENANCE.
The table saws MAGNUM 700L and 1000L require a simple maintenance as follows:
•
Change the water and clean the tray as frequently as possible. The tray is equipped with a water drain.
•
Water in the tray should completely cover the pump without having to spill out.
•
Though the water pump has a filter slap, some remains of the cut materials can get inside it blocking the
spiral. To avoid this, let the pump periodically run in a bucket filled with clean water for some minutes. If
necessary, remove the filter slap and clean well the turbine until the spiral turns loosely.
•
Remove possible remains of materials off the cart.
•
Replace as soon as possible any electrical cable partially cut, broken or deteriorated. Use original parts.
•
Maintenance is preferentially to be done by persons well acquainted with the machine and its functioning.
•
Any manipulation of the machine must always be made with the motor stopped and the electricity cable
disconnected. Do not forget to remove all used equipment and tools.
•
In case of any functioning anomalies or bad operation, please let a specialized technician check the machine.
•
Always consider the safety recommendations mentioned in this manual.
•
If the machine is going to stay outside, cover it with a waterproof cloth.
•
At the end of each day, switch off the machine and disconnect it from the electricity.
It is prohibited to perform any type of modification in any part, element, or feature of the machine
without prior authorisation of SIMA S.A. The latter will not be in any case responsible for the possible
consequences from the breach of these recommendations.
