Ensure that the flow rate of the well is higher than
that required, in order to prevent the pump to start and
stop with a frequency greater than the permitted limit.
Respect maximum depth of immersion as specified in
the pump's data plate.
After installing the electric pump in a well, be sure
to close off the opening properly and complete safety.
It is advisable to use pipes with an internal diameter
at least equal to that of the delivery pipe, so as to avoid a
fall in the performance of the pump and the possibility of
clogging.
Install a check valve on the outlet of the pump to
prevent the line from emptying every time the pump
stops.
The hydraulic connection of the pump can be
carried out with iron or rigid plastic parts. If a plastic hose
is chosen instead of a metallic line, make sure that it can
sustain the pressure provided by the pump. Prevent the
hose from becoming twisted because, in addition to
preventing the desired flow, proper pump operation will
be hindered.
When using in a well, it is recommended to secure
the power cable to the delivery pipe with hose clamps or
insulating tape every 50cm/1mt
Seal any piping connections: air infiltration in the
suction pipe negatively affects pump operation.

STARTUP
Startup
After making all the connections as specified in the
inverter manual, turn on the power. At the first start the
parameters relating to the pressure required and the
pump absorption must be set. For more information on
this procedure, please refer to the inverter manual.
After starting the pump, wait up to 30 seconds
before the priming of the pump.
In case of operating faults, see chapter 12 "Faults,
causes and solutions" and the section alarms and faults of
the inverter manual.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
SKILLED PERSONNEL: The Electropump can only be
disassembled by competent skilled personnel, in
possession of the qualifications required by the
legislation in force. In any case, all repair and
maintenance jobs must be carried out only after having
disconnected the pump from yhe power mains.
Maintenance
In normal operation the pump does not require any
type of maintenance, thanks to the mechanical seal
lubrificated in an oil bath and to the greased‐for.life
bearings.
During dismantling it is necessary to pay great
attention to sharp parts which may cause injures.
When the pump remains inactive for a long time at
temperatures lower than 0°C, it is necessary to ensure that
there is no water residue which might freeze, causing
cracking of the pump component. This operation is also
raccomended in case of prolonged inactivity of the pump
at normal temperature.
If the pump has been used with substances that tend
to deposit, rinse it after use with a powerful jet of water so
as to avoid the formation of deposits or scale which would,
tend to reduce the pump characteristics.
Cleaning
Periodically clean the inside of all the filters present in
suction and delivery system. Removing any particles that
may have sucked in.

REPAIRS AND SPARE PARTS
Skilled Personnel
If the pump should malfunction, contact only
authorized and specialized repair shops for any repair
work. The manufacturer's permission must be obtained
prior to opening or modifying the pump. Please note that
we cannot assume any responsibility for demages to our
electric pump if it has been opened and reassembled
without our persmission or the permission of an
authorized repair shop.
If the supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced
by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly
qualified persons in order to prevent all risks.
Spare parts
All the spare parts used in repairs must be original
ones. On request the manufacturer provides the spare
parts list.
The main most common special maintenance
operations are generally as follows:
Replacement of the seal;
Replacement of the sealing ring;
Replacement of the bearings.
