Always store the machine without a load. Remove dirt. Lubricate the chain, hook pins
and hook latch pins. Hang in a dry place. Follow instructions described in this manual
before using hoist again.
3.5.
Before being put into service, a machine that is new or has been repaired should be
inspected by qualified technical personnel who are knowledgeable and experienced in
the operation and maintenance of this type of machine.
Machines should be inspected regularly by visually checking the condition of the
machine both before use, during use and after use. Checking should be done by the
machine operator. Any irregularities in the operation of the machine, damage must be
reported to the appropriate technical personnel. Using a machine in which any
damage has been found or any irregularity in its operation has occurred is forbidden.
INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE INTERVALS
INITIAL REVIEW: Before first use. All new or repaired machines must be inspected by a
qualified competent person to ensure that the requirements of this manual are met.
DAILY INSPECTIONS:
• Check brake operation.
• Check chains - cleanliness, lubrication, twists.
• Check hooks: wear, damage, widening of hook gap, bent shank, or bent hook.
REGULAR MAINTENANCE (recommended monthly):
• Check chain wear.
• Check hook wear: degree of wear, damage, widening of hook gap, bent shank or
twisted hook.
• Check hook attachment.
• Clean and lubricate the chains.
Every SIX YEARS (or after 1500 cycles)
• Check brake for wear and replace if necessary

• The chain hoist should be cleaned regularly. Remove all debris from the chains and
the machine itself after use.
• Chains, hooks, hinges and hook latches must be lubricated regularly with grease.
When the load chain is covered with rust, it must be removed and then lubricated. If
rust cannot be removed, the load chain must be replaced.
