7.3 Flash operation with the synch cable
The studio flash unit can be operated with
the included synch cable. To do this, connect
the synchronous socket of the camera to the
socket
of the studio flash unit.
If the camera does not have a synch socket,
then you need a flash mount adapter from
the Metz accessories. Slide the flash mount
adapter into the flash mount of the camera
and connect it to the socket
flash unit using the supplied synchronisation
cable.

before plug in the synch cable.

8 Warning tone if studio flash
unit overheats
The studio flash unit increases the amount of
time following a flash if there is a risk of over-
heating.
If you hear a continuous tone and "ERROR
Overheating" appears in the display, then
you should reduce the flash intensity and
flash frequency.
If the continuous tone persists and the dis-
play remains, then the studio flash unit must
be cooled for at least 30 minutes.
During this time
- you must switch off the modelling
lamp.
- you must not trigger any flashes.
