Maintenance and repairs
Risk of injuries from components coming loose or leaking
material.
If maintenance work is performed while still connected to the com-
pressed air circuit, components can unexpectedly work loose and mate-
rial can leak.
→ Disconnect the automatic gun from the compressed air circuit and the
material supply before all kinds of maintenance work.
Damage from incorrect installation
Incorrect assembly can cause damage to the automatic gun.
→ Fix the automatic gun on a flat surface before all kinds of maintenance
work.
→ Make sure that threads fit properly.
→ Grease all moving parts with SATA high performance grease (# 48173).
Loose screws can cause damage to parts or result in malfunctions.
→ Tighten all screws by hand and check that they are screwed tight.
Use of the wrong tool can damage the automatic gun.
→ Only use the special tool supplied by SATA. Springs and small parts can
fall out during dismantling. The precise installation position and installation
sequence is shown in the figures. Failure to comply can cause damage to
the parts or result in malfunctions.
Note!
It is advisable to keep the SATA repair set (# 40832) in stock (see chap-
ter 14).
This chapter describes the procedures involved for maintaining and re-
pairing the automatic gun. Maintenance and repairs may only be carried
out by specialist personnel.
■ Always interrupt the compressed air supply to the compressed air con-
nection before performing any maintenance and repairs. Spare parts
are available for carrying out repairs (see chapter 14).
