Coupling tool BSB 32 (cf. item 1 on page 13),
start then the equipment until the mechanical
expander reaches its maximum expansion
position as indicated in picture. Wait 30 to 60
seconds, then complete the cycle.
Warning: the conical pin (D) may cause injuries
to body parts if pushed against them.
With the aid of a plastic-head hammer, push the

elastomeric adapter (F) so as it is correctly placed
in its seat (see picture 9).
During this operation, make sure that the
coupling tool is inserted into its support (L) and
that this latter is placed on a flat, unslippery
surface.
NB: Never use grease, soap, lubricating or
sliding products of any kind in order to make
the insertion easier.
REMOVING THE ELASTOMERIC ADAPTER
To remove the damaged elastomeric adapter (F), you must:
start the Coupling tool BSB 32 until the mechanical expander reaches its
1)
maximum expansion position;
cut the elastomeric adapter lengthwise by using a cutter.
2)
Warning: use the cutter with due caution.
SOLVING MAIN PROBLEMS
COUPLING SLIDING
If during the coupling phase an unusual sliding of the pipe is observed, to the extent
that the obtained coupling is either too short or narrow, and subsequent inserting of
pipe into the
alcohol, make sure that the mechanical expander (E) is screwed up to its stop, and
repeat coupling.
NB: Never lubricate the elastomeric adapter by using oil, grease, or other
lubricating products.
