Fitting / replacing an
abrasive wheel
The engine must be switched off when
fitting or replacing an abrasive wheel –
set slide control / stop switch to "0" c.

In order to block the shaft, slide the
locking pin (1) through the bore in
the V-belt guard (turn the shaft a
short distance with the combination
wrench if necessary) until the
locking pin engages in one of the
bores behind the guard.

:
Use the combination wrench to
loosen and remove the hexagon
bolt (2).
:
Remove the front thrust washer
(flange) (3) from the shaft together
with the abrasive wheel to be
replaced.

Fit the new abrasive wheel (4).
Note the arrows indicating the
direction of rotation on diamond
abrasive wheels!
They must match the arrow on the
machine.
:
Fit the front thrust washer
(flange) (3). The catches of the
front thrust washer must engage in
the shaft grooves!
:
Screw in the hexagon bolt and
tighten it with the combination
wrench (tighten down with approx.
30 Nm (22 lbs ft) when using a
torque wrench).

Draw the locking pin out of the
V-belt guard.
