Preparation for operation
ASSEMBLY OF THE UNIT
•
Before installing the unit in the workplace, check its components for signs
of damage.
Make sure that the load-bearing structure on which the device is to be
•
mounted will support its weight together with the weight of the load.
The support on which the device is to be mounted must withstand 4 times
•
the rated load.
•
Do not mount the unit on a support structure the load capacity and
strength of which have not been verified.
When mounting the unit to the supporting structure, take special care and
•
ensure proper conditions for safe operation to avoid hazards leading to
personal injury.
The user is responsible for preparing the conditions for the installation of
•
the device and for the installation itself.
•
After installing the unit, check that the hook is properly attached and that
the latch is closed.
•
Each time a load is lifted, check that the safety brake is working properly.
To do this, hang a load on the device (approx. 10% of the permissible lifting
capacity) and raise and lower it several times, making sure that after
stopping lifting/lowering the load always stops in a given position without
lowering itself.
