6. INSTALLING THE CHILD SEAT FORWARD FACING
GROUP 1
NOTICE
WARNING! once the car seat is installed, if another recline
position is selected, you should repeat the car seat installation
steps described below to ensure a proper installation is in this new
position.
1. Before installing the child seat, select 1, 2, 3 or 4 recline position
(fig. 6.1). Pull the lever
without releasing the lever until the seat is in the desired position.
2. Place the child safety seat in the back seat of the vehicle facing
in the direction of travel ensuring it is resting firmly against the
backrest.
3. Unlock the harness to help seat installation.
4. Take out the reducer cushion
5. Pass the diagonal section of the vehicle belt over the red guide
(L), which is located behind the headrest. Pass the abdominal
section of the belt through the guides
6. Insert the security belt on the vehicle anchor point and press until
hear a "click" that indicates the child seat is correctly installed.
7. To tighten the belt, using the knee press down the child seat while
take up any slack by pulling the belt(fig. 6.4).
8. Make sure the vehicle belt in not twisted.
9. Place back the reductor cushion
7. FASTENING THE CHILD SEAT GROUP 0+/1
Proper adjustment of the height of the headrest ensures the child
will be seated correctly. The headrest should be adjusted to ensure
that the harness straps
child's shoulder or slightly above; never behind the child's back or
level with the ears (fig. 7.1).
The headrest and shoulder straps height can be adjusted by this way:
