Adjusting the handle
WARNING
Danger of accident
If the handle is adjusted while the mo-
tor is running, the device may perform
uncontrolled movements.
Only adjust the handle when the de-
vice is switched off.
1. Pull the tilt adjustment lever up-
wards and hold it.
2. Move the handle to a comfortable
position (approximately hip height).
3. Release the tilt adjustment lever.
4. Gently move the handle up and
down until it locks into place.
Switching the device on
WARNING
Danger of injury
Without ground friction, the pad can
assume very high speeds. It can fly
away and cause injuries.
Do not switch on the device when the
cleaning head is swiveled up.
The maximum permissible grid im-
pedance at the electrical connection
point (see Technical data) must not
be exceeded.
Contact your electricity supplier in the
case of any uncertainties regarding the
mains grid impedance at your electrical
connection point.
ATTENTION
Risk of damage
If the device is operated in one spot for
a long time, the floor covering may be-
come damaged.
Always move the device while it is
switched on.
1. Unwind the power cord completely
from the cable clips.
2. Insert the mains plug into an outlet.
3. Hold the handle with both hands.
4. Press and hold the unlocking button.
5. Operate the ON/OFF switch.
6. Release the unlocking button.
7. To interrupt operation, release the
ON/OFF switch.
1. Switch the device on.
2. Pull the cleaning solution lever when
the pad is to be supplied with clean-
ing solution.
3. Guide the device over the surface to
be cleaned.
4. In case of heavy contamination, go
over the affected area several times.
5. Afterwards, vacuum the waste water
with a wet vacuum cleaner or soak it
up with a cloth.
Spray system
Only the BDS 43/Orbital C Spray is
equipped with the spray system. On
this system, cleaning solution is ap-
plied from two nozzles in front of the
device.
1. Set the Spray switch to the "ON" po-
sition.
Adjust the nozzles
1. Release the clamping screw.
2. Align the nozzle.
3. Tighten the clamping screw.
Shutting down
1. Pull the mains plug out of the outlet.
2. Pull the tilt adjustment lever up-
wards and hold it.
3. Move the handle to a vertical posi-
tion.
4. Release the tilt adjustment lever.
5. Remove the remaining cleaning
solution from the detergent tank.
6. Rinse the detergent tank with clean
water.
