12. Use of the microscope (reflected light)
12.1 General switch on
To activate the reflected light illuminator, put the main switch ①,
located on the back side of the power supply, to the position "1".

12.2 Brightness adjustment
Use the brightness adjustment dial ② on the front panel of the
reflected light power supply to increase or decrease the light in-
tensity on the specimen. (Fig. 38)
12.3 Switching Brightfield/Darkfield observation
• The microscope allows to work in a brightfield (BF) or
darkfield (DF).
• For observation in darkfield it is necessary to use
specific objectives called "BD".
1. Move the selector in "BF" position for a brightfield reflected
illumination. (Fig. 39)
2. Move the selector in "DF" position for darkfield reflected il-
lumination.
• Darkfield objectives can also work either brightfield.
