AFTER DRIVING
Use special after-run oil to maintain the engine after driving. After-Run oil helps with the next start and protects the engine from rust.
Only use after-run oil that is specially made for RC engines. Do not use silicone oil or similar, as this will damage your engine.
damage your engine. We recommend our LRP After-Run oil (item no. 37910), which you should use regularly after driving.
Procedure:
Let the tank run completely empty at idle until there is no more fuel (try restarting the engine several times).
Next, put a few drops of „after-run" oil into the open carburettor, as well as into the glow plug hole of the engine head.
Pull the pull-starter 5 times. The oil is now distributed in the engine.
MAINTENANCE
Check and maintain your S8 Rebel regularly. Only then will you achieve maximum driving pleasure and optimum driving performance.
It is recommended to retighten all screws after 2-3 tank fillings and to check the condition and adhesion of the tyres.
If the vehicle has not been used for a longer period of time, remove fuel residues from the tank.
Check the air filter for damage and permeability and replace if necessary.
After approx. 10 tank fillings, the bones, cardans and wheel axles should be serviced.
Dismantle drive parts, clean and check for damage.
Replace defective parts, reassemble the vehicle and grease or oil the gear wheels, axles and drive shafts.
Check the ease of movement of the swing arms. To do this, it is helpful to briefly dismantle the dampers on the respective axle.
Wash out the fuel filter.
Remove the engine from the main gear and check the smooth running of your vehicle by turning the drive axles.
If sluggish, disassemble the vehicle, find the cause and rectify.
Clean and re-grease transmission parts.
After approx. 20 tankfuls of fuel, it is advisable to check the shock absorbers.
Clean the shock absorbers, check for leaks and ensure that the piston rods move easily.
Treat your engine with care and maintain it regularly. Due to the high speed of the engine, any problem can cause serious damage.
cause serious damage. All moving parts inside the engine are subject to wear. So you need to pay attention to whether the piston, liner or connecting rod are
worn out and need to be replaced. When replacing a part, please check that all other parts are in good condition.
are in good condition. The liner and piston must always be replaced together.
Some important things:
Clean the outside of the engine thoroughly before opening it. Every bit of dust or dirt that gets into the engine, can cause damage.
Check the connecting rod regularly. If you want to replace it, check that the crankshaft journal is round and in good condition.
If not, replace the crankshaft as well.
When you reassemble the engine, make sure that every part is absolutely clean and use some oil.
(after-run oil is good for this) to lubricate the parts.
Make sure that all parts are installed in the correct orientation, especially the piston, liner and connecting rod. Both the lower part of the piston and the
„lubrication hole" of the connecting rod must face forward (towards the carburettor).
Before fitting the combustion chamber, check carefully that you have fitted all the washers!
GEFAHR
Use an Allen key to tighten the screws. Do not tighten the screws completely, but first tighten all the screws only slightly. Then tighten the screws
alternately crosswise. Be careful not to overtighten any screws!

HINWEIS
The drive train of the S8 Rebel is designed for maximum durability and robustness and therefore has a metal gearbox installed.
The resulting, even noise development is normal and is not caused by a defect.
