11.1.2 Installing the Reliant Scale

WARNING!
-The patient and sling MUST be removed from the lift during ALL installation procedures.
1. Position the load cell assembly of the Reliant Scale into the hanger bar bracket. Refer to Detail A.
Use a 1/4-inch nylon washer.
2. Secure the Reliant Scale to the hanger bar bracket with a new locknut and the hardware removed in 11.1.1 Removing the
Hanger Bar, page 60. Refer to Detail A for washer orientation.
Ensure the shaft of the shoulder bolt passes through both sides of the hanger bar bracket.
3. Tighten the locknut onto the shoulder bolt until the locknut bottoms out.
4. Insert the hanger bar pin with two nylon washers through the hanger bar. Refer to Detail B.
5. Align the mounting holes in the hanger bar pin with the mounting holes in the load cell assembly. Refer to Detail B.
6. Secure the hanger bar pin to the load cell assembly with the provided mounting screw and locknut. Securely tighten. Refer to
Detail B.

-After ANY adjustments, repair or service and BEFORE use, make sure all attaching hardware is securely tightened;
