5.7 Setting for bevel cuts

For bevel cuts, the saw can be set to any angle from 0° to 60°.
Use the following procedure to set the saw for
bevel cuts:
1.
For tilting, put down and support the machine
so that the saw can be tilted.
2.
Loosen the wing screws (11) on each side.
3.
Use the scale (1) on the tilting segment to set
the angle.
4.
Tighten the wing screws (11).
The saw is set to the desired angle for
the bevel cut.

5.8 Sawing along markings

The base plate has a tracing edge on the inside
which can be used for straight cutting as well as for
any inclination angle.
This tracing edge (18) corresponds to the inside
(side facing the motor) of the saw blade.
For bevel cuts, the marking can be seen through
the opening on the left side of the upper guard.
Use the following procedure to saw along markings:
1.
Hold the machine by the handles and position it such that the front part of the base plate is on the
workpiece.
2.
Position the tracing edge (18) at the marking on the workpiece.
3.
Switch on the machine.
4.
Ensure that the tracing edge (18) and the front edge of the saw blade are guided along the marking.
To make the first cut easier, you can open the movable guard by pressing the lever (2) directly next
to the front handle. The guard closes automatically when you release that lever.
5.
Push the machine steadily forward in the cutting direction.
6.
Switch off the machine at the end of the cut.
Sawing along markings terminated.
