WARNING
- Use only the brake fluid
prescribed
according
specification;
otherwise,
the rubber seals may dete-
riorate, causing leaks.
- Top up with the same type
of brake fluid. The addition
of a brake fluid other than
DOT 4 can cause a harmful
chemical reaction.
- Avoid water or dust infil-
tration into the brake fluid
reservoir during refueling.
Water causes a significant
reduction in the boiling
point of the liquid and can
cause "vapor lock", and
dirt can clog the valves of
the ABS hydraulic unit.
WARNING
Brake fluid can damage paint-
to
ed surfaces or plastic parts.
Always clean up any spilled
liquid immediately.
As the brake pads wear out, it is nor-
mal for the brake fluid level to gradu-
ally go down. If the brake fluid level is
low, it is possible that the brake pads
are worn and / or that there is a leak
in the brake circuit; therefore, be sure
to check the wear level of the brake
pads and the presence of leaks in the
brake circuit.
If the brake fluid level drops suddenly,
have the vehicle checked by an Italjet
dealer before continuing to use it.
