5.1.b Check oil level
NOTE: The check must be carried out with
the engine just switched off and still warm.
WARNING
The motorcycle
reaches high temperatures,
be careful not to get burned.
- Place the motorcycle on a level sur-
face, in a vertical position raised on
the central stand.
- Wait a few minutes to allow the oil to
settle.
- Unscrew the dipstick (1) and re-
move it, clean the dipstick with a rag
and insert it back into the filling hole
(2) without screwing it in, then re-
move it and check that the oil level is
between the minimum level marks "
MIN "and maximum "MAX ".
- In case of topping up, insert oil
through the hole (2) up to the MAX
level and not beyond.
- Reassemble the dipstick (1) by
screwing it.
