GER GET ON / GET
OFF THE BIKE
3.3.a General rules
Read the following instructions care-
fully as they provide important infor-
mation for the safety of the rider and
passenger to avoid damage to per-
sons or damage to the motorcycle.
Getting on and off the motorcycle must
always be done from the left side of
the motorcycle, with your hands free,
without hindrance and with the central
stand raised.
If the side stand is present, the rider
can climb up with the stand down.
The rider must be the first to get on
and the last to get off the motorcycle
and must govern the stability of the
motorcycle during the passenger's as-
cent and descent.
Do not get off the vehicle by jumping
or extending your leg, always get off
by carrying out the operations de-
scribed in the relevant paragraph.
3.3.b Rider Get On
Raise the central stand.
If there is a side stand, leave it in the
lowered position.
- From the left side, hold the handle-
bar correctly with both hands, then
lift the right leg and pass the saddle.
- Sit on the motorcycle and place both
feet on the ground, straightening the
vehicle without loading your weight
on the side stand (if present).
WARNING
If you are unable to place
both feet on the ground, place
your right foot with your left
foot ready for support.
- With the left foot, completely retract
the side stand (if present).
- Start the motorcycle as described in
the relative paragraph.
