MAINTENANCE

SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE (CARRIED OUT BY THE USER)

Ensure that the power supply is switched off and that the pump cannot be powered up, even inadvert-
ently, before any maintenance work.
Cleaning the prefilter
• In the case of installation below water level, close the inlet
and outlet gate valves before dismantling.
• Cleaning of the prefilter must be carried out depending on
the frequency of use and the presence of impurities in the
water (e.g. leaves):
- unscrew the cover closure knobs
- remove the cover using a screwdriver, pry off the appropri-
ate seats
- remove the prefilter and clean it, removing any bodies ob-
structing the water passage holes.
• Clean the transparent cover if necessary using only soap and
water. Do not use solvents. Do not lubricate the cover O-ring
with oil.
• When cleaning is complete, replace the prefilter and close the
cover by screwing the knobs by hand as far as they will go. Do
not screw on using pliers or other tools.
Emptying the pump casing
• In the event of long periods of inactivity or possible frost, the
pump casing must be emptied of any water that may have
remained inside. Simply unscrew the drain plugs shown.

SPECIAL MAINTENANCE

Special maintenance must be carried out by qualified personnel since it foresees the use of tools, and requires in-depth
knowledge of the equipment. Operations regarding the dismantling of the pump, and replacement of the mechanical seal
will be described.

parts.
Removing the pump
• Disconnect the pump power cable from the mains.
• Close the delivery and suction gate valves.
