SYMPTOMS
Pump runs but delivers little
or no water
Motor unit overheats
Pump runs noisily or vibrates
excessively
Pump draws too much
amperage
POSSIBLE CAUSES
1. Solids trapped in the
impeller.
2. Water level too low, pump is
out of water.
3. Motor does not run or does
not run at full speed.
4. Rotates in wrong direction
5. Impeller clogged or worn
impeller
1. Line voltage too low
2. Wiring section too small
3. Working out of bend
4. Worn or clogged shaft
5. Seal broken or leaking
1. Bent shaft
2. Worn bearing
3. Loose seal bolt
1. The pump operates below
the specified head. Out of
curve
2. Motor running at lower
voltage than required.

SOLUTION
1. Dismantle, clean
2. Move pump to a new
position
3. Check power supply
voltage
4. Interchange two phases on
the starter motor.
5. Clean debris or replace
impeller.
1. Check the voltage or
contact the power supply
company.
2. Replace it
3. Adjust the working pressure
4. Replace or move it
5. Replace the gasket and dry
the engine.
1. Straighten the shaft
2. Replace the bearing
3. Tighten the screw
1. Adjust the pump to its
specified height.
