5 – USE OF THE TOOL
PROPORTIONAL CUT: The operator fully controls the cutting blade (14) opening and closing
movements. The blade (14) either moves or stops according to the operator's finger operating the trigger
(12). This mode guarantees the operators' maximum safety. Therefore, it is recommended to use such
mode for at least 5/6 days until the operator gains the necessary confidence.
100% AUTOMATIC CUT: The cutting blade (14) fully opens and closes automatically. It only requires a
light pressure on the trigger. This mode allows to prune in the fastest way. It is recommended to use the
automatic mode only after the operator gets well trained.
70%(40%) AUTOMATIC CUT: The cutting blade (14) opens 70% and closes automatically thanks to a
light pressure on the trigger. This mode allows to prune in the fastest way. It is recommended to use this
mode only after the operator gets well trained. In this mode it is possible to further decrease the blade
opening by keeping the trigger pression for at least 10 seconds. The display will show AUTO40 and the
blade will carry out a 40% opening. To go back to the 70% it is necessary to keep the trigger pression for
10 seconds once more. When starting the tool again the mode will be a 70% automatic cut again.
IMPORTANT!
Modes AUTO70 and AUTO40 allow to fully open (100%) the blade by quickly pulling the trigger two times
in half a second. The shear will carry out a 100% automatic cut and then go back to the previously
selected mode.
SERVICE: Checks the blade tightening adjustment. For the blade tightening adjustment operations see
par. 6.1.3.
• Put the branch to be cut between the blades, taking care of keeping the free hand and any other object away
from the tool.
• Press the trigger to start cutting. In any mode, if the trigger is released, the shear opens the blades even if the
pruning operation has not been fully carried out..

5.1.1 Display indications

According to the chosen mode by means of the selector , the display will show the following indications:

- For the Proportional, 100% Automatic, 70% Automatic and 40% Automatic mode:
1) Operating mode: MANUAL corresponds to the Proportional mode; AUTO100 to the 100%
Automatic mode; AUTO70 to the 70% Automatic mode and AUTO40 to the 40% Automatic mode.
