What should I do if the cell still looks dirty or stained?
.... If the stain is black or very dark, it is probably dirt residue. This can lower efficiency
so the cell should be washed again.
.... If the stain is white, it is probably detergent residue. This lowers efficiency and may
also corrode the cell. Rinse the cell again.
.... If the stain is brown or yellow, it is probably tobacco smoke or other airborne dirt.
Moderate discolouration of this type does not affect the air cleaner efficiency.
Recleaning is not necessary.
RESPECT YOUR ENVIRONMENT! Dispose of waste detergent appropriately.
CARBON FILTER REPLACEMENT
The air cleaner is equipped with a carbon filter which is concealed by the main casing.
This filter removes many unpleasant odours and should be replaced annually by your
installer or service dealer.
If this filter is removed the air cleaner will NOT operate!

1. Carefully wipe ioniser wires with a damp cloth.
2. Rinse the cell or soak in clean water.
3. Allow the cell to dry completely.
How do I wash the prefilter?
Remove the dirt and fibres from the prefilter by vacuum-
ing, brushing or washing. You can wash the prefilter in
the same detergent solution as the cell, providing you
wash the cell first. This prevents the larger contaminants
from the prefilter being trapped in the cell.
NOTE: When replacing the cell in the air cleaner make
sure the airflow arrow on the cell is pointing toward the
fan before insertion.
