11 Waste disposal
11.1 Waste disposal of packaging material
The Neptune instrument is provided in a cardboard box with several protective foams.
It is strongly recommended to keep the original box and the protective
foams for future transport or storage. Do not use other boxes than the
one provided (especially conceived for the machine), as this could lead
to damage of the machine during transport or storage. These damages
could lead to electrocution, to burns, to fire and other dangers.
If for any reasons you wish not to keep the box for future use (in the case of transport
and/or storage), please return the box to the manufacturer who will take care of its
disposal.
11.2 Waste disposal of the Neptune instrument
Please contact your supplier before throwing out your Neptune instrument.
As the Neptune instrument and its components have been in contact
with
potentially
decontaminated prior to waste disposal.
Please follow the decontamination procedure described in this Guide in point 10.1.
Please follow all your local, federal or state environmental regulations when disposing of
the machine.
The waste disposal of the Neptune instrument may have negative effects on the
environment due to the presence of WEEE waste.
Do not dispose of electrical or electronical parts as unsorted municipal waste.
Collect the electrical or electronical parts separately.
The battery has to be returned to a specific recycling centre.
