Introduction
This tool with left/right rotation is intended for screwdriving
in wood.
For your safety
Read and save this instruction manual (pay special atten-
tion to the safety instructions on the page 12).
Avoid damage that can be caused by screws, nails and
other elements in your workpiece; remove them before you
start working.
Always check that the supply voltage is the same as the
voltage indicated on the nameplate of the charger (chargers
with a rating of 230 V or 240 V can also be connected to a
220 V supply).
In case of electrical or mechanical malfunction, immediately
switch off the tool or unplug charger from power source.
This tool should not be used by people under the age of
16 years.
Be careful not to drive into areas where electrical wires may
be contacted.
Do not activate switch when changing accessories or car-
rying the tool.
SKIL can assure flawless functioning of the tool only when
original accessories are used.
Battery tool use and care
• Ensure the switch is in the off position before inserting
battery pack. Inserting the battery pack into power tools
that have the switch on invites accidents.
• Recharge only with the charger specified by the manu-
facturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of battery
pack may create a risk of fire when used with another
battery pack.

• Use power tools only with specifically designated battery
packs. Use of any other battery packs may create a risk
of injury and fire.
• When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other
metal objects like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws,
or other small metal objects that can make a connection
from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery termi-
nals together may cause burns or a fire.
• Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from
the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs,
flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek
medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause
irritation or burns.
Charging / Batteries
Charge battery only with the charger that is supplied with
the tool.
Do not expose tool and charger to rain.
Never charge battery outdoors.
Store tool and charger in locations where temperature will
not exceed 40 °C or drop below 0 °C.
Batteries will explode in fire, so do not burn battery for any
reason.
When damaged, and under extreme usage and tempera-
ture conditions, batteries may start to leak.
• If liquid comes into contact with the skin, wash quickly
with soap and water, then with lemon juice or vinegar.
• If liquid gets into the eyes, flush eyes with clean water for
a minimum of 10 minutes and seek immediately medical
attention.
Do not use tool or charger when damaged; take it to one
of the officially registered SKIL Service Stations for a safe-
ty check.
Do not disassemble charger or battery.
• CHARGING BATTERY
Battery of new tools is not fully charged.
Plug the output cord of the charger 5 into the socket in the
bottom of the screwdriver handle as shown in Figure A. Plug
the charger 6 into any standard electrical outlet.
! Unplug the charger from the tool after charging peri-
od has ended thereby lengthening the service life of
the battery.
