Indications
The charger is equipped with red and green LED
indicators
that show the charging state:
Green LED illuminates:

3 Charger is ready to operate. The battery is fully
charged.
Red LED illuminated:
■
3 The charging process is activated. The battery is
being charged.
Red and green LED flash in turn:
■
3 Temperature fault; battery is too hot and cannot
be charged.
• Remove the battery and allow it to cool
down.
Red and green LED flash simultaneously:
■
3 Charging not possible; battery defective.
• Replace battery.
Battery charging state / maintenance
indication
The indication [15] on the device allows monitoring
of the battery charging state and indicates if mainte-
nance is needed.
It illuminates in red if the battery needs to be

charged.
Gas cartridge (fig. III)
Attaching the dosing valve
For the exact dosing of the gas mixture required for
the combustion process, the supplied dosing valve
must be attached onto the gas cartridge. Only this
dosing valve guarantees a precise dosing of the gas
mixture and the contact pressure resulting therefrom.
1. Push the protective cap [17] for-
ward and remove it.

2. Remove the protective cap.
3. Straighten the edge.

4. Attach the dosing valve [18] onto

the nozzle of the gas cartridge [19]
and allow it to engage into the front

groove. Do not point outlet opening of
the dosing valve at the face or eyes!
5. Press the rear edge until this enga-
ges.
6. Press the dosing valve on the rear
part downwards until it audibly enga-
ges (2 clicking sounds).
Warning
Remove the dosing valve [18] prior
to transport and storage and put it on
again together with the protective cap.
Inserting the gas cartridge
Warning
Remove the batter from the device
before inserting the gas cartridge.
Press on the cover of the intake slot

Insert the gas cartridge with the valve head

Ensure that the nozzle of the dosing valve

latches in to the small blue adapter [20].
Close the cover [2].

Warning
Small amounts of combustible gas
may escape when the gas cartridge is
inserted.
Do not breath in gas, do not smoke. Keep it away
from naked flames or sparks.
If the smell of gas remains perceptible after the gas
cartridge has been inserted, remove the gas cart-
ridge immediately and identify the cause.
Note
The gas cartridge is not emptied com-
pletely. There is always a small amount
of residual gas (pressure gas) in the
gas cartridge.
