ASSEMBLY AnD ADJUSTMEnTS

WARnIng:
from the power source before adjusting, adding accessories, or checking a
function on the tool.
Locking or Unlocking the Cutting Head (FIG2)
When storing or transporting the chop saw, the cutting head
should be locked in the down position.
To unlock the cutting head
1. Press down lightly on the cutting head.
2. Pull the lock pin (1) outwards.
3. Slowly raise the cutting head into the work position.
To lock down the cutting head
1. Lower the cutting head completely.
2. Push the lock pin (1) inwards to lock the cutting head.
Removing and Installing the Cut-off Wheel
(FIG 3, 4)
WARnIng:
from a thrown work piece or thrown pieces of
wheel, do not use a new cut-off larger or smaller
than 14" diameter. Make sure the wheel is rated
for 2800 RPM or higher.
1. unplug the tool from the power source.
2. unlock the cutting head if it is in the down position.
3. Lift the lower guard (2) up to expose the arbor bolt (3).
4. Press the spindle lock (5) and hold it firmly. Rotate the cut-off
wheel until the shaft is locked by the spindle lock.
5. Maintain pressure on the spindle lock. use the wrench (4)
provided to turn the arbor bolt (3) counter-clockwise and
loosen.
6. Remove the arbor bolt, washer and outer flange.
nOTE
: Pay attention to parts removed, noting
their position and direction they face. Wipe the
inner and outer flanges clean of any debris before
installing the new cut off wheel.
7. Remove the old abrasive wheel and install a new one.
8. Put the outer flange, washer and arbor bolt back on.
9. Press the spindle lock (5) firmly while turn the wrench
clockwise to tighten the arbor bolt (3).
10. Lower the lower guard to its work position.
11. Make sure the spindle lock is released and the cut-off
wheel can rotate freely.
12. Lower the cutting head until the arm hits downstop to make
sure the wheel is not contacting the base or surface. Make
downstop adjustment if it does.
Always be sure that the tool is switched off and unplugged
