Clamping the Work Piece (FIG 9)
Position the work piece in vise so that if jam occurs, the
wheel will not tend to move the work piece in the vise.
See fIG 9 for your clamping reference.
Generally the chop saw will cut most efficiently if the
wheel is cutting the thinnest section.
Basic Cutting Operation

To reduce the risk of burns from contact with hot cut off work pieces, wear
protective gloves.

1. Depress and hold lock-off button and then squeeze the trigger switch to turn on the saw. When cut-off
wheel is rotating at full speed, slowly push down the handle and bring the cut-off wheel in the vicinity
of the work piece.
2. When the cut-off wheel contacts the work piece, slowly push the handle down to start the cut.
3. Apply smooth, steady pressure (Do not force) throughout the remainder of the cut.
CAUTIOn:
Never apply excessive pressure or force the wheel into the material.
Forcing the cut-off wheel may cause overheating or wheel damage.
4. When the cutting (or desired cutting depth) has been completed, raise the handle up to the retract
position.
5. Release the trigger switch and allow the cut-off wheel to come to a complete stop before preparing
for the next operation.
