4. Turning the hex screw (6) counter clockwise reduces the degree of bevel, while a clockwise rotation increases
the degree of bevel.
5. Confirm the saw blade is positioned at 45°
6. Make sure the hex screw does not move as you tighten the adjustment nut.
7. Using a Phillips screw driver, loosen the bevel indicator and position its red line directly over the 45° marking
on the bevel scale, then retighten the screw.
To Adjust the 45° RIGHT Bevel Stop
Follow the directions for adjusting the 0° bevel stop, except:
1. Disengage the bevel positive stop.
2. Release the lock lever bevel and tilt the saw head completely to
the right.
3. Slightly loosening the adjustment nut (8) located on the top of
the miter table.
4. Turning the hex screw (9) counter-clockwise reduces the degree
of bevel while a clockwise rotation increases the degree of
bevel.
5. Confirm the saw blade is positioned at 45° .
6. Retighten the adjustment nut taking great care that the hex screw does not move.
7. Using a Phillips screw driver, loosen the bevel indicator and position its red line directly over the 45° marking
on the bevel scale, then retighten the screw.
OPErATION
WArNINg:

TRANSPORTING THE SAW

1. Always make sure the saw head is down and locked.
2. Make sure the miter table is locked, Bevel is locked at 0° position.
3. Make sure the sliding saw head is in the most backwards position and locked.
4. Only lift the saw by the carrying handle or outer castings.
WArNINg:
the saw by carrying handle on the cutting arm. DO NOT lift or carry the miter saw using
the trigger handle, doing so may cause misalignment of miter and bevel settings.
LOCKING AND UNLOCKING THE CUTTING HEAD (FIG 18)
NOTE:
You will notice shallow and deep indentations on the saw head locking mechanism. The deep indentations
allow the saw head to lock down in the parked position, while the shallow indentations allow the saw head to
release in the upward position.
When storing or transporting the miter saw, the cutting head should be locked in the down position.
To Lock Down the Cutting Head
1. Lower the cutting head completely.
2. Pull back the locking knob (1) outwards from its parked
"Unlock" position (a).
3. Rotate the locking knob a 1⁄4 turn, and then release it to "Lock"
position (b).
Always be sure the miter saw is disconnected from the power
Always wear safety goggles or safety glasses with side shields
Always transport the miter saw in the locked down position, carrying
